Number 1 comes with a 5 year warranty, so it's brilliant value! It offers masses of space; a whopping 628 litres in total. The best thing about it is the clever Ecospace technology. By reducing the width of the insulation inside, you get loads more space without increasing the dimensions on the outside. By being able to fit more in, you can shop less often. Brilliant!

What’s also clever is the Twin Cooling Plus feature. This keeps the fridge at a constantly high 75% humidity level, which is recommended as the optimum level to keep food fresher for longer. To help even further, there’s Multi Flow technology. Tiny little holes are spread throughout the fridge to make sure every shelf stays at an even and constant temperature. 

Samsung have really paid attention to detail with this model. It comes in stainless steel, you get an extra tall ice and water dispenser and in the fridge door there’s a rack especially for cans. The Fresh Room Zone is ideal for keeping meat fresh as the temperature stays at 0°C. It's also good for chilling your beers really quickly! I love the foldable shelf too, which makes room for tall bottles if you run out of door storage. It’s so big though I can’t ever see that happening!

An unusual looking American fridge freezer, number 2 is slimmer than most at 70cm. It gives you a massive 314 litres in the fridge and 110 litres in the freezer. 

The I Care Intelligent refrigeration system stands out for me as it isn’t featured on any of the other models in my list. It changes the internal temperature of the fridge depending on what’s in it, so if it’s half full, it won’t waste energy. How clever is that? It has Air Tech too, which pumps cold air onto every level giving you a really even temperature.

The double doors hide four shelves and two salad bins and there’s ample door storage for your bottles too. It even has a metal bottle rack. It has two massive pull out freezer drawers with a super freeze function. You get a similar super cool feature in the fridge too. 

Space and style for one great price.

Number 3 is a beauty. It's stainless steel and I think its straight lines give off a very professional look. Holding 535 litres in total, it's a great size. You get 352 in the fridge and 183 in the freezer.

Twin Cooling™ Plus and Multi Flow, as seen on some of the other Samsungs here, help keep your food fresher for longer. The LED display makes amending the temperature in the fridge and freezer simple and it also allows you to activate the Vacation mode and Super Freeze setting.

The LED lighting is pretty impressive too as it’s loads brighter than standard bulbs and 20% cheaper to run. It has a water and ice dispenser in the door, which will encourage the whole family to drink more water as it's so easy to access. It's frost free too. This means you’ll never have to worry about ice building up and taking up unnecessary space. Brilliant. 

If you're after loads of space for a brilliant price, this stainless steel look Beko is a bargain buy. Holding 526 litres in total, it’s massive. There are 375 litres in the fridge, spread across 5 shelves and 2 salad bins. There’s even a wine rack to keep your bottles of white out of the way. In the freezer you’ll find 151 litres of space, with 4 shelves and 2 drawers that are good for easy access to the ice cream.

You get an ice and water dispenser too, which will encourage the family to drink more water and there's a dual cooling system similar to some of the others on my list. Unlike most fridge freezers, the fridge and freezer are controlled separately to ensure the fridge maintains a high level of humidity, keeping your food at its best for longer. There’s also an active odour filter to prevent smells transferring between the fridge and freezer and, as it’s frost free, you don't have to bother defrosting either. 

Number 5 is a beauty. In Black Gloss, I think it’ll make a real impact in your kitchen and the full length handles mean that even the kids can open it up to get out their yoghurts. It has a water dispenser too, which will encourage the whole family to drink more water. 

What’s really great about this one is Samsung’s Twin Cooling Plus system. It maintains a 75% humidity level in the fridge so your fruit and veg keep their natural moisture. You'll find that they last a lot longer than they would in a standard fridge. It also means that there will be no mixing of odours, so you can put your smelly cheese won't make your milk taste funny. It also stops any icy build up in your freezer, which eliminates the need to defrost.

You're also getting MultiFlow technology. This makes sure every shelf gets its fair share of cool air, so wherever you put your food, it'll stay nice and chilled.

There’s a digital LED display and control panel so you can change the temperature of the fridge and freezer, as well as activating the Super Freeze. I’d recommend this to any family who has a preference for fresh rather than frozen food as the fridge space is more generous. It holds 361 litres spread over 5 shelves and you get 171 litres in the freezer.
