At top spot is the really affordable CFBF3050EK. It’s a good size too, with 156 litres in the fridge and 78 litres in the freezer. That’s enough for a family who get through equal amounts of fresh and frozen food. The best bit is that the freezer is totally frost free, so you can forget all about the messy job of defrosting.

The fridge has 3 super strong shelves that are adjustable, so you can make room for tall or bulky items. Down in the freezer you get 4 compartments, all with clear drawer fronts. This means you won’t have to go rooting around as you’ll be able to see what you’ve got without opening the drawers.

It's rated A+ for energy efficiency, so it'll be really cheap to run, and the doors are reversible too, so you can swap them round to fit in with your kitchen design.

This is one of the cheaper integrated fridge freezer on my list and it's perfect if you're after a no mess, no fuss model. It’s great for a household of 2 or 3 and comes with 156 litres in the fridge and 85 litres in the freezer. It’s also spot on if you get through a similar amount of fresh and frozen food.

The fridge has 3 shelves, all of which are adjustable and it comes with a salad bin and ample door storage for bottles and jars. The freezer has 4 compartments, and it isn't frost free, but as it’s small, it shouldn't take you too long to defrost manually.

It’s rated A+ for energy efficiency like my winner, so will be nice and cheap to run. You’ll be doing your bit for the environment too.

Third place has to go to this Beko model. Thanks to its A+ energy efficiency rating, it'll be super cheap to run at just £33 a year. That's much less than an older less efficient fridge freezer, so it's ideal if you're upgrading to a new model.

In the fridge you've got 189 litres of space, which is plenty for a small family's weekly fresh food shop. There are 3 adjustable shelves, so you can easily make room for a big casserole dish. There are also 2 salad drawers at the bottom that provide great storage for your fruit and vegetables. As well as 4 door storage compartments, there's even a wine rack- great for holding your favourite tipple. 

Below in the freezer you've got 48 litres of space. It's frost free, so you'll never have to waste time with messy defrosting. Add this to reversible doors and you've got yourself a really handy appliance.

My number 4 is really simple and just gets the job done without making a song and dance about it. It's an AEG, so you're getting high end build quality that'll last. There are 170 litres of space in the fridge, which is enough for a couple or small family's weekly shop. You get 3 shelves, as well as 2 salad bins and loads of storage in the door too. 

Down in the freezer you'll find 92 litres of room. It's made up of 4 compartments, all of which have see through fronts. This is brilliant as it means you don't have to go rooting around to find that sneaky tub of ice cream..

You get an A+ rating for energy efficiency like my winner, so it'll be nice and cheap to run. You’ll be doing your bit for the environment too.

The best bit about my number 5 is the fact that the freezer is frost free. This means that you can forget all about defrosting as it'll do it all for you. Never again will you have to spend a Sunday morning laying towels on your kitchen floor.

It's a good size for a smaller family's weekly shop too, as it comes with 155 litres in the fridge, which has 4 different adjustable shelves. You get 2 half width salad drawers too. In the freezer there are 55 litres of space, made up of 4 separate compartments. You'll easily be able to find the fish fingers as each compartment has clear drawer fronts.

 It's rated A+ for energy efficiency too, which is amongst the best on my list so it’ll be reasonably cheap to run - it shouldn't cost you much more than £37 a year.
