I think you really get what you pay for here, as this Samsung model is huge. Measuring 180cm tall (that’s over 5ft 10”), there are 350 litres of space to play with, spread over 4 shelves, 2 big salad boxes and loads of door storage too. It's ideal if you've got a lot of mouths to feed.

The MultiFlow cooling system is pretty impressive. A stream of cold air flows through little vents, maintaining a constant temperature on each shelf, so even if you pack it full, your food will stay fresh for as long as possible.

On the outside is a blue LED display, which looks really funky and allows you to control the temperature inside. What's also really great is that it's rated A+ for energy efficiency (costing about £18 a year) so you'll save a ton on your electricity bills in comparison to an older model. Plus, the door is reversible too, so it's great for any home.

Number 3 is incredibly unique. It doesn’t have standard shelves like you’d find in most fridges, instead it has 3 pull out shelves and one drawer. They sit on telescopic runners, like you’d find on your bedroom drawers, and the fronts are raised so nothing will fall out. It means easier access to food that’s right at the back, and you can find what you want without having to bend down and move everything around.

I love that there’s no door storage in this model, it means you’ve got more room for food inside. You’ve still got space for your bottles too, as there’s a handy support on one of the shelves designed to stop bottles rolling about. 

It’s got a superCool function to rapidly reduce the inside temperature so you can chill a bottle of wine really quickly. And like the others above, it has a reversible door and it’s really energy efficient, rated A+ and costing about £15 a year to run.

This model comes from Hotpoint and offers a whopping 342 litres of space, which is loads of room for the price. It’s 175cm tall (which is about 5ft 7”) and is ideal if you’re after a no mess, no fuss fridge. 

It looks pretty smart with its minimalistic white outside. Inside you’ll find  4 super strong shelves that give you loads of space for tall items. There are 2 salad bins where you can keep your fruit and veg, plus you get 5 levels of door storage too. This includes a covered dairy compartment where you can store your cheese so it doesn’t stink out the rest of the fridge.

It comes with anti-bacterial protection, which helps keep your food fresher and odours at bay between cleans, and the door is reversible, so you can swap it round to suit your kitchen design. Add to this an A+ rating for energy efficiency and I think you have a fantastic value fridge.

Perfect if you're short on space, my number 5 measures just 50cm wide. It's ideal for a smaller home or even as an overspill fridge. It'll be cheap to run too as it's endorsed by the Energy Saving Trust. In fact, thanks to its A+ rating, it should only cost you about £13.25 a year to run. That's nothing when you think you'll have it switched on 24 hours a day.

It comes with 4 glass shelves, which are really easy to keep clean. There's a salad bin right at the bottom where you can keep your lettuce safely out of the way. Plus, you're getting 3 levels of door storage too. This is the perfect place to keep your bottles and jars.  

It has a reversible door  for flexibility, and the auto defrost will keep it frost free. There's also an interior light, so you can see what you've got right at the back. This is a brilliant value appliance at a great price.
