A model made right here in the UK, this Stoves has a very classic look to it, so if you want to preserve the feeling of your traditional kitchen it’s worth investing in the olde-worlde style.

With 151 litres between the two ovens it’s excellent for larger households, plus there’s a separate space for your grill. Very handy if you’re preparing a small snack, it saves heating up the larger ovens. The ovens give you fan heat – the even temperature means your food cooks faster than in conventional ovens. Great for saving time while preparing meals.

There are 5 burners on the gas hob, giving you lots of space for pots and pans. Plus the central burner doubles as a wok burner; you can prepare authentic stir fries in your own kitchen. Each burner comes with cast iron pan supports as well. They’re really sturdy and even if you’re a bit heavy-handed with your pans they’ll look great for a long time.

My runner up is fantastic, as it’s the only model in my top 5 to come with an induction hob. This means electromagnets work to heat up your pans, rather than the surface of the hob. It’s a really efficient way to cook, so you’ll save yourself some money on your electric bills. You’re getting 4 cooking zones, so it’s great for doing all the Sunday lunch trimmings a once.

The 28 litre capacity top cavity acts as a variable dual circuit grill. You can alter the temperature depending on how well you want your food, or you can change how much of the grilling element you use. Use half of it if you’re just making a bacon sandwich, or use all of it if you’re grilling chicken for the whole family.

I love how much space you get in the other 2 ovens. The one on the left has a 47 litre capacity and the one on the right has a 76 litre capacity- great if you’ve got a lot of mouths to feed. They’re both fan ovens so you’re getting an even temperature throughout, plus you won’t get any transfer of flavours. You can do the apple pie and garlic bread at the same time!

With an A rating for energy efficiency, this Belling won’t cost you the earth to run either.

This model gives you unrivalled quality, which is what you'd expect from a Rangemaster product. They're exceptionally well made, meaning it'll last you a very long time. There's a combined total of 135 litres of oven space, of which 120 litres is usable between the two separate cavities. Both spaces give you fan cooking too, which is excellent for preparing your meals faster than in standard conventional ovens. Plus there's a glide out grill which slides out to help you check on your food without lifting a heavy pan.

Up on hob there are 5 gas burners, with one doubling as a triple ring wok burner. It’s fantastic for preparing authentic Eastern food in your own kitchen, and it works perfectly well with everything else too – it's excellent for red meat as it’ll sear all the juices inside beautifully. There's also a sit on griddle to cook things like chicken and veg in a really healthy way.

Once you’re done it’ll be extremely easy to clean, thanks to the Catalytic liners inside. They absorb grease and dirt that occurs while cooking, then burn it away at high temperatures. You won’t have to spend ages scrubbing it yourself, or spend lots on expensive cleaning sprays.

My number 4 looks fantastic. At the top, it has a 5 zone gas hob, one of which is a really powerful wok burner that's brilliant for big pans or casserole dishes.

Below this you’ve got a separate grill. You can use it to grill healthy chicken breasts for the whole family, or switch it to the conventional oven mode and bake a pie. As it’s hotter at the top than the bottom, you’ll get a nice crispy base and a soft gooey filling.

This model’s great if you’ve got a lot of mouths to feed. There’s a really tall 76 litre fan oven on the right, so you can get a couple of lasagnes in for a dinner party with no problem. Thanks to the even temperature inside, everything will cook at the same rate too.

The 35 litre multifunctional oven on the left will come in really handy. With settings like fan cooking, intensive baking, top heat and bottom heat, you’ll be able to cook almost anything.

The very best of British manufacturing, my number 5 range has a modern stainless steel design and you get 3 cavities on this one. If you've a big family, it's ideal. The main oven holds 35 litres of space and is fully programmable, so you can set it to start and stop when you need it to. There’s also a tall oven that holds a whopping 62 litres! That’s loads of room. Both ovens are fanned, so you’ll get even cooking, and there’s a separate grill cavity too.

The gas hob up top has 5 burners, one of which is a dedicated wok burner and is great for stir-frys or even big pans of soup. It has a flame safety device that makes sure the gas switches off if a flame goes out, so you won't have to worry about gas leaks. It has cast iron supports too, which don’t just look really cool, they’re also super strong.

This range cooker is backed by the Energy Saving Trust, so you know it’s not going to cost you very much to run and you won’t be surprised to hear it’s A rated for energy efficiency.
