Washer dryers measure between 80 – 90cm (high) x 50 – 60cm (wide) x 50 – 60cm (deep), so the first decision you have to make is where in your kitchen will it fit.
Also you need to consider if you want your washing dryer to be visible and the front on display out in the open (freestanding) or do you want to hide it behind a cupboard door and attach it to your kitchen units (built in/integrated).
Built in/integrated
These washer dryers are disguised behind furniture doors to keep a streamlined look and feel in your kitchen. They have a flat front and space to attach door hinges so they can be completely hidden behind a door and won’t draw attention away from your kitchen design.
If your kitchen floor is uneven, the majority of washer dryers come with height adjustable feet to level out your appliance.
FreestandingThese washer dryers are good if you want your appliance to be seen and they are fairly easy to fit in as they just slot into your kitchen. The average kitchen top is 85-90cm high and perfect for placing a washer dryer underneath, but make sure you measure the height of your kitchen surface before buying.
When fitting your new appliance it is important to remember that it must be fitted in reach of a water supply and a waste water pipe – usually located under a sink. Most washer dryers are cold fill, so they only need to be connected to a cold water supply. If this is the case make sure you seal off the hot tap to prevent leakages.

Some washer dryers are hot and cold fill and these will need to be connected to both the hot and cold water sources.
Note: it is imperative you remove the transit bolts before you install and use your machine. Failing to do so will damage your new appliance.
