Hotpoint have been providing you with fantastic appliances for over 100 years, they were formed in 1911 in the UK, and it wasn’t long before they were a household name!

Hotpoint are now well-known for their fridge freezers and washing machines, but the Hotpoint name actually originated from an iron. The founder Earl Richardson was given the idea by his wife, when she was tired of having problems ironing pleats and frills because the only irons available were either the ones which heated on the stove or the early electric irons with heating elements in the middle.  So Richardson invented an iron that was ‘hot all the way to the point’, and gave it the name HOTPOINT.

Laundry Technology that cares for you and your family

Hotpoint’s new Aqualtis range offers 3 new cycles for whites, darks and coloureds. These cycles use unique Hydro Thermal technology to keep the temperature of each wash constant. This maintains the original colour of your clothes, stopping the premature fading of darks and the yellowing of whites.

But the innovation definitely doesn’t stop there; these fabulous new Aqualtis washing machines also come packed with family features that tailor each laundry cycle to suit your lifestyle.

This stunning looking machine uses the power of 100% natural steam to help cleanse your laundry free of odours and germs. It has two special steam cycles:

  • There is a Steam Refresh cycle which lasts 20 minutes and is ideal for removing cooking smells from work clothes you have only worn once, or for revitalising bedding when you have guests to stay, that has been stored in a cupboard for a while.
  • There is also a Steam Hygiene option, which is designed to remove 99.9% of germs and bacteria, perfect for your children's play clothes.

If you or anyone in your family suffers from allergies then an Aqualtis, such as the AQ113F497I, will put an end to all the sneezing and itching. It comes with an Anti Allergy cycle designed to eliminate allergens from your clothes such as dust, pet hair and traces of detergent, with a special rinse phase. This cycle even has a posh Allergy UK Seal of Approval!

As well as giving you fantastic results the new Aqualtis range is fitted with an informative LCD display to help save you time, so you can spend more hours with your family this festive season. Also these washing machines have an A+++ efficiency rating and an Eco wash cycle to help you spend less money on your energy bills, so you won’t feel guilty for putting the heating on over winter.

Hot and cold fill washing machines - the facts

Hot fill washing machines seem to be a thing of the past as almost all manufacturers are only making cold fill washing machines; certainly all the models we sell are cold fill only.

If your old washing machine used a hot and cold water supply you might be worried about replacing it with a cold fill only washing machine. Don’t be, if you have a hot and cold tap all you have to do is connect the washing machine to the cold tap only and seal off the hot tap with a cap; just to prevent any leaks.

But why are all manufacturers making their washing machines cold fill these days I hear you ask?

Cold fill washing machines are cheaper to produce and help you save energy. This is because with a hot and cold fill washing machine technically twice as much water is heated than is used by the washing machine, so it is much more economical to just draw in cold water and heat only the amount required for the cycle selected. Cold fill machines also increase washing efficiency when using biological detergents and washing at 40 degrees. This is because the enzymes in the detergent work at their optimum level at low temperatures.

So hot is out and cold is in, but don’t worry your new cold fill washing machine will still offer the same great wash performance, with the added bonus of saving you a few pennies on your energy bills!

Why don’t you take a look at our fantastic range of washing machines.
