Are you using the right amount of detergent in your washing machine?

Electrolux have determined that a lot of consumers are not aware of the right amount of washing detergent they need to use to achieve the best results when undertaking the daily laundry duties. Using too much washing machine detergent can leave a residue on your clothes even once the washing cycle is complete. This residue may irritate your skin when you are wearing your freshly cleaned laundry. Using too much washing machine detergent may also lead to your detergent dispenser becoming blocked and inefficient or it may encourage additional rinse cycles which means more energy usage!

On the flip side if you do not use enough detergent during the cycle then you cannot be sure that all the laundry inside the load has been cleaned effectively.

So what do I recommend? It’s simple, read the instructions on the detergent bottle. This will ensure that you use the right amount of detergent for the load type and for the brand of detergent.
