For many of us a tumble dryer is a thing of convenience. We fill the drum with wet laundry in the morning and empty our dry clothes when we come home in the evening - it’s a bit like magic.

However, did you know that whilst your clean, dry clothes cool in the drum for several hours, the number and depth of creases grows. This all adds up to long strenuous hours at the ironing board!
So how can we solve this problem? Well you could ensure you’re available to take out your clothes as soon as the cycle finishes. But I’m not sure your boss would be thrilled if you left the office mid morning to do laundry.
Another option would be using the delay timer. Many machines have this feature nowadays and it means you could set the programme to finish just before you get home so you can remove dry laundry immediately.
However, the best idea I’ve come across is the Crease Care function featured in the TVM562P Hotpoint Aquarius tumble dryer. Crease Care prevents heavy creases forming by intermittently tumbling the load without heat, after the drying programme has finished. It does this until you are ready to take out your freshly laundered, dry clothes and put them away with minimum ironing and minimum effort - bliss!
