Just one more sleep till the Christmas day festivities kick off, so today's the day to get the turkey out of the freezer and begin your epic veg preparations. In anticipation of the busiest cooking day of the year I thought I'd mention my favourite kitchen appliance features for the Christmas period. The ones that truly make catering for the masses at Christmas much easier.
The Special Guest feature (Hotpoint Ultima Dishwashers)
When you get out your best plates use the Special Guest feature. This hot 65°C rinse and drying cycle is great for dishes that are rarely used and are only dusty.
The Homebar (Samsung RSH1FBMH side by side fridges)
A great feature for parties, dinners and just generally showing off (what is Christmas for?). The homebar allows you to serve drinks from the fridge through a hatch in the door, without opening the appliance. Woop!
The Crystals cycle (Hotpoint FDD914G Ultima Dishwashers)
This is an economic, fast wash for delicate items sensitive to high temperatures - great for the fine glassware which only makes it out of the cabinet once a year.
Advanced digital auto cooking (AEG-Electrolux ovens)
The roasting option is sure to give you a perfect turkey every time. Using the food probe, the oven senses when meats are cooked to your preferred taste and roasted to perfection. No more guess-work and Christmas dinner becomes a doddle (just make sure you take the credit).
