Good news for Hotpoint, the brand has won the prestigious Good Design Award for its distinctive Hotpoint Quadrio fridge freezer.
The Good Design Award was established in 1950 by Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames, and Edgar Kaufmann Jr, who were dedicated to the best concepts of industrial design. The competition is today judged by the Chicago Athenaeum-Museum of Architecture and Design together with the European Centre for Architecture and Art Design and Urban Studies.
The Hotpoint Quadrio is innovative in both design and functionality. The refrigerator compartment is accessible using two independently opening doors, while the freezer area is characterised by two autonomous compartments, one with two large drawers for simple food storage.

Over 500 projects from over 48 countries were selected by a jury of experts from all over the world. Each entrant was evaluated by innovation, form, materials, function and use in rewarding the energy and vitality of today's designs.
