We are often advised not to wash trainers in a washing machine as it can ruin the drum as well as your shoes.

However, washing trainers by hand can be a tiresome task, involving much scraping of mud and a fair wack of elbow grease - and they never seem to come quite as clean as you’d like!
Fortunately Indesit washing machines have devised a shoe cycle which makes washing your trainers simple.
The Special Shoe cycle is the first programme specifically designed for sports shoes and trainers and claims to keep them like new, saving the time and effort it takes to wash them by hand.
How does the Indesit washing machine cycle work?
The shoes are forced to stay close to the drum during the cycle, so they don’t knock, scrape or fall over each other. It also reduces the noise of the cycle.
The Special Shoe Cycle is available on certain Indesit washing machine and washer dryer models including the IWC6145S Indesit washing machine.
