If you’re not involved in the white goods industry then you probably won’t know that the end of spring is when this year’s products get launched. Since the 20th of April we’ve added 176 new products from 19 different brands. Obviously I don’t have time to write about each of them individually but for the rest of the week I’m going to try and cover the ones that have been making a stir.
Today is the the turn of the all new HFI550, an integrated dishwasher from Hoover.
As you would expect from Hoover it’s an AAA rated appliance so it gets the top grade on energy rating, wash performance and drying performance. It’s got 7 programmes, 4 temperature settings and is so new that we haven’t even had the brochure delivered yet. Only using 13 litres of water per wash means that even if you’re on a water meter the average cost of a wash cycle is less than 14p (this varies depending on your utilities providers).
As an integrated dishwasher the HFI550 is designed to have a cupboard door attached to it which means that even the controls are hidden from view.
Who is the HFI550 made for?
If you’re a couple or small family living in a smaller house or flat then it’s for you. At 45cm wide the HFI550 is the very definition of slimline but this means it can only handle eight place settings making it unsuitable for larger households.
If there is a new product you would like more information on or a question you want answered, then post a comment and I’ll see what I can do.
