Electrolux Design Labs - some great ideas

If you’ve got five minutes to spare and want to see visions of the future check out the Electrolux Design Lab semi-finalists. The designs vary from novel ideas for automated vacuum cleaners (like the Navibot we gave away a few months ago) to high tech piranhas that clean your dishes and a green refrigerator that keeps food fresh in a luminescence cooled biopolymer gel.

Whether some of the ideas seem more like science fiction or not it’s well worth taking a look at the 25 entries that made it to the semi-finals. Who knows, in five years time one of these items might just appear on Appliances Online.

And in fifteen years time you might even be recycling them for Recycling Week 2025.
