I’ve taken a slightly different tack this week (let me know if you like it). Rather than showing just one or two reviews for an appliance I’ve picked five for the Hotpoint FZA34P freezer – a small under counter model which has been scored 4 out of 5 by our customers.

Debated for ages about whether to buy frost free freezer after varying reviews, but so glad I did. Feel the food freezes quickly and no ice build up at all and food defrosts well and no soggy/wet mess with ice build up. Well worth paying the extra money. Drawers a bit sticky at times - only slight complaint!

This freezer is ideal to have in the kitchen if like me you have a large freezer in the garage. The drawers are not see-through, but I don't find that a problem. It's not too noisy either. All in all a good purchase, delivery arrangements were excellent!

Very noisy on initial start up. Leaflet says this will diminish in a month and it has gone quieter but is still quite noisy. Glad it is in a utility room and not the kitchen. Will call engineer if no improvement in next month.
Noise is a contentious point for the FZA34P but that is to be expected. Machines with an automatic defrost do make more noise than those with a manual defrost because they periodically vent the air inside their cavity using a fan. Whether the FZA34P is particularly loud is largely down to your personal experience but nine out of 26 people marked it down as being notably quiet while only five marked it up as noisy.

This appliance works fine. It's quiet, looks ok and has stayed frost free for the two years I've been using it. Drawers can jam a bit if not pulling them out square so don't put it in a really tight corner and expect to pull out the drawer with your left foot. I would recommend this appliance to a friend.
