It still comes as a surprise to many people that you shouldn’t keep a freezer outdoors. It’s all to do with how they sense temperatures but it boils down to the fact that the freezer lets food defrost when it gets cold.
But Beko decided that if people want to keep their frozen food outside they should be able to and so they built the TZDA504F to withstand temperatures down to -15oC. To put this into context the minimum operational temperature range of the TZDA504F is so low that no meaningful comparison can be made.
The lowest declared operating temperature of any previous model was 10oC under an SN (subnormal) climate class. The TZDA504F can handle temperatures so low that you could keep it in an igloo and it would continue to function (assuming you can keep it dry).
So if you’re looking for a secondary freezer to keep in the garage – this one’s for you.
