Owners reviews of the Beko DRVS62W

With the weather in the North West of England being particularly unpredictable at the moment (it keeps raining but there’s a hosepipe ban) I’ve been reminded of how useful it is to have a tumble dryer to fall back on. This Tuesday I’ve pulled together some reviews for the Beko DRVS62W a budget tumble dryer that our customers have awarded an average of 4.8 out of 5 for drying ability, ease of use, build quality and features. Because all of these reviews are so glowing I’ve also done some research to try and find any possible reasons for not buying this machine.

As always the reviews are presented in their entirety with only minor changes for spelling and punctuation.

"Was well impressed with this dryer; does exactly what it says on the tin! Easy to use. Clothes come out ready to wear more or less. Would definitely recommend to a friend"

“I chose the machine for price and Beko being a great unsung hero. Wow this is a fantastic machine - set the dial to ready to wear and it senses when it is time to stop, takes the need for constant checking or over dried clothes. Clothes come out hardly needing ironing; I would think thanks to not over drying and the huge drum. I would highly recommend this."

"Excellent machine - no need to time drying cycle it does it for you. Very efficient at drying clothes; virtually crease free."

Our collection of reviews currently have no cons for this appliance so I went and scouted around on some other review sites.

There were some complaints that clothes did not dry properly or came out damper than they should. In all honesty this sounds like user error as it was only a minority of people who found this and the DRVS62W has a sensor dry function which means that on some settings it will deliberately leave clothes feeling damp (why would you want your clothes damp? Because it’s easier to iron them). You can choose to have your clothes ready to wear by simply adapting the settings and if that doesn’t help page 22 of the manual has other possible causes.

Levels of dryness aside, a few people said they would prefer a more energy efficient appliance as this model is only C rated. To buy an A rated tumble dryer you would be looking at paying at least three times the price of the DRVS62W and B ratings come in at around £100 more so all things consider C rated isn’t that bad.
