Manufacturer warranties – what’s included

Every manufacturer has a different offering when it comes to the warranty or guarantee. Most kitchen appliances manufacturers offer a year’s parts and labour and some offer a further five years on parts. But don’t get caught out, many companies require you to register your appliance before you can claim under the guarantee.


Below is a list of the typical guarantee offered by each manufacturer. Please note these guarantees are correct as of March 2011 and are liable to change.

Baumatic - automatically comes with a 1 year parts and labour warranty. Baumatic will offer a second year's labour and an additional 4 years' parts warranty free on certain products. However, registration must be returned to Baumatic within 28 days of purchase to qualify for the free 2nd year labour warranty and 4 years parts warranty.


Beko - guaranteed against parts and labour for twelve months from the date of the original purchase.


Leisure - comes with a full 12-month guarantee that covers the cost of parts and labour.


Bosch – 12 months parts and labour plus a second year if you register your appliance.


Siemens - All Siemens large and small appliances come with a free 2 year guarantee but you must register to receive it. Until 31st March 2011 some models have a free 5 year guarantee – check yours here.

Neff - New Neff appliances are fully guaranteed for 12 months from the date of purchase. If you register your product within 30 days, you'll also receive an additional 12 month manufacturer's guarantee, (so 24 months in total).


Electrolux – free one year guarantee if you register your appliance.


AEG – free one year guarantee when you register your appliance.


Zanussi – one year free guarantee when you register your appliance.


Belling – one year free parts and labour warranty if you register your appliance within 30 days of purchase.


Lec – one year free parts and labour warranty if you register your appliance within 30 days of purchase.


Stoves – one year free parts and labour if you register your appliance within 30 days of purchase.


Newworld – one year labour and parts if you register within 30 days of purchase.


Hoover - All new Hoover products are guaranteed for a minimum of 12 months for parts and labour, however they require you to register your purchase. They also have a five year parts guarantee.

Candy - All Candy appliances are covered by a full parts and labour guarantee for 12 months from the date of purchase.  Plus all Candy products are covered by a free 5 year parts guarantee upon registration, if using an appointed Candy engineer.


Indesit – one year free parts and labour and five years parts when you register your appliance.


Hotpoint – one year free parts and labour and five years parts when you register your appliance.


LG – 24 months labour and parts. 10 years on direct drive motors.


Samsung – 24 months parts and labour. 7kg and 8kg washing machines except WF0702NBE have a 5 year parts guarantee. 9kg machines have 2 years labour, 5 years parts and 10 years on Quiet Drive motors.


Whirlpool – 1 year Whirlpool parts and labour guarantee.
