A hob is essential. Without one you can’t cook. Before I bought mine, piercing the lid several times and setting my microwave to 6 minutes was routine. Now, armed with a state of the art hob I can perfect my pancakes and re-write my recipe for risotto. Below is a list of our 5 best sellers during March.
1. High-Tech Cooking
It’s easy to see why the C61R2AEE is so popular because it has controls that won’t look out of place in an episode of CSI: New York. Also, perhaps somewhat more important, reviews say it is simple to clean.
2. Camouflaged Cookery
The CRA641DC looks so good one reviewer comments that friends have told them it seamlessly merges into their worktop. They also say that it is very easy to control the cooking process.
3. Can’t Touch This
The key feature of the BHC605 is its safety lock to stop mischievous little hands doing any damage to themselves or others. It also looks rather cool. There is an electronic timer included to help you keep track of what you’re making.
4. Hot Hands
How do you know when a black heat zone on a black hob has cooled? With a residual heat indicator of course! The VRM640X lets you know when you can touch the hob again after cooking; something which I’m sure has prevented numerous hand throbbing dashes to the sink.
5. Full of Magnetism
The other hobs on this list are ceramic but this resides on another plane of cooking technology. The VIA640C is an induction hob. It uses magic, err, I mean electro-magnetism to heat the pan, leaving the hob cool. This is seriously space age stuff. Halit wrote a great post about them if you want to know more.
The week rolls by and another post about our best selling appliances has come to a close. Hope you all have a great long weekend!
