The VIP treatment with AEG

Recently we were very fortunate to receive a few sets of VIP tickets for the London Taste of London Festival  courtesy of AEG. Now rather than go ourselves we decided that it was only fair to give them away to a lucky few so they could sample some Michelin starred grub.  

A sell out crowd of 50,000 people attended this year’s Festival which took place in Regents Park and their taste buds were certainly tickled with Michelin Starred dishes from the UK’s best chefs available to sample. There was also an opportunity for a bit of celeb spotting with Gwyneth Paltrow in attendance.

One of the lucky few to receive the VIP treatment courtesy of AEG was Danielle Celestin who braved the torrential rain to attend the festival..now that’s dedication. Danielle had a fantastic day and said one of her highlights was the AEG cookery school where she made Gressingham duck breast with a salsa verde and bean stew in an impressive 30 minutes, not bad for someone who prefers to bake rather than cook. The festival also gave Danielle the opportunity to enjoy some weird and wonderful flavours and she particularly enjoyed the salsa verde with mint and garlic and Fruli strawberry fruit beer.

AEG also gave us tickets to this weekend’s Edinburgh Taste Festival; unfortunately we have already given the tickets away, but let’s hope those lucky individuals who are going have as much fun as Danielle did at Taste of London.
