The lovely people over at Samsung opened their arms and doors this month to embrace 17 eager and willing to learn Appliances Online team members. We were determined to soak up all knowledge possible about the wonderful world of Samsung appliances.
Based in Greater Manchester, we embarked on our 5 hour journey down south. Setting off at 6am, a few of us were guilty of bringing pillows (yes I was one of them), but the excitement is what kept us awake.
Getting to see all the appliances was great, but what helped was having a Samsung Expert on hand to answer all our burning questions.
Cooling
Samsung’s American fridge freezers are a hugely desirable piece of cooling equipment. One product to catch my eye was the RL55VQBRS with its 7 inch built-in LCD display. Write notes, upload pictures, manage your calendar or even doodle were some of the features this little touch screen gave you. A definite for the tech fans out there.
Cooking
I am a firm believer that Induction hobs are the future. They work through magnets, and therefore only heat up the surface of your pan. As part of a demonstration, we witnessed an egg being cooked on what can only be described as half a pan. Half the egg rested on the pan, while the other on the hob surface. In a matter of seconds the egg in the pan cooked, while the other half on the hob stayed dormant. Easy to use, easy to clean... I want one!
Cleaning
The highlight of the day would have to be meeting the Samsung Eco Bubble. It promises a lot, and delivered on all levels. It uses 70% less energy than a standard washing machine, and is awarded an impressive A+++ energy efficiency rating. What sold it for me was how quiet it was! Thanks to the quiet drive motor you couldn’t hear a thing during the wash cycle. The ‘My Cycle’ button allows you to program your favourite wash, so all those who are unfamiliar with washing machines only have to press 3 simple buttons to harness the power of the eco bubble.
As you can see by our pictures, we had a fantastic time. We learnt, we laughed, and we left with far more knowledge then we had when we arrived. Thanks Samsung!
