Use up the leftover turkey for delicious results...

There’s nothing better than filling your belly on Christmas Day and I’m sure you had your fair share, just as I did. With tons and tons of food cooked there is bound to be a bit left over. In my house we are slowly wading our way through dozens of turkey and stuffing sandwiches. But there are a lot more interesting and tasty ways to use up the leftover turkey.

We Brits throw away £600m worth of food each year, so starting from today your New Year’s resolution can be not to waste anymore food!

To make things easier for you I’ve got a couple of delicious ideas for leftover turkey. Not only will I tell you what you’ll need but also the best oven functions to use when cooking them, as the oven functions really are just as important as the ingredients!

Because I know a lot more about appliances than cooking, I’ll let you smooth out the details, but my directions are:

Turkey Stew- ‘Slow Cook’ Function
The best way to cook a stew, no matter what the meat, is using a slow cook function. The vegetables and sauce all come together to create some wonderfully rich flavours. I suggest you bung whichever veg you like - potatoes, celery, carrot, onions - into a casserole dish. Add your gravy and turkey cuts and then pop the dish into the oven. Leave it on the slow cook function for a couple of hours and return to a lovely, heart-warming stew. If you want to thicken it up add extra gravy granules or corn flower. Perfect.

Turkey and Leek Pie- Top and Bottom Elements
A pie is another great way to use up the turkey leftovers. There are lots of pie recipes out there, so I’ll let you choose which one you prefer. You’ll be laughing if you have an oven with fan, and top and bottom elements. Use the fan and bottom elements to cook the pie through and the top element to crisp the top of the pie. There won’t even be a sliver of soggy pastry (and that can be hard to get underneath). You could even use the oven in a similar way to a pizza function; cooking the food through while ensuring the base is well cooked and not too soggy. If you’re oven doesn’t have this, but you really fancy one of these culinary creations, have a look at the Neff B16E74N0GB or Neff Series 2 B45M62N0GB. They have the functions which help you get brilliant results every time.

How can they charge £9.99 for connection and check up of fridge freezer when it cannot be switched on for 4 hours after delivery. Its daylight robbery!
I had to unpack the interior and do all the checking up myself with NO INSTRUCTIONS!!!
