Hoover tumble dryers are available as vented or condenser models. Vented tumble dryers need to be positioned next to an exterior wall so the water vapour can be vented through a hose, through the wall to outside, and this can limit where you can put the dryer in your home.
Hoover Condenser Tumble Dryers
Hoover condenser dryers on the other hand can be placed anywhere in your home, as all they need is an electricity supply. They condense the water vapour extracted from your clothes during each drying cycle into a water tank, which simply needs to be emptied regularly.
The VHC691B, pictured on the right, provides specialised programmes, including a rapid 40 minute option which is perfect for cottons. There is a wool finish cycle, which is a short, gentle cycle ideal for protecting soft woollens so they don’t dry out of shape. It also has a refresh programme for clothes that have perhaps been stored in a wardrobe. And it comes with a Relax option, which is a short, 12 minute, 40 degree cycle specifically designed for cotton fabrics, which also helps to reduce creasing by relaxing fibres which makes ironing easier. All of these cycles also use a reverse tumble action, which prevents clothes from tangling during the drying cycle and will therefore help them dry more quickly.
A lot of condenser dryers can even be attached to a waste water outlet, whether that's a sink or an outlet pipe. Either way, you'll never have to empty the condensed water again.
