Washer dryers are designed to take the strain out of doing the laundry by combining cleaning and drying in one machine.
Washer Dryers
How much laundry you can do in one load depends on the drum size of your washer dryer. The larger the drum size the more laundry your machine will be able to handle effectively. Drum size is measured by the weight it can handle, so a 5kg drum can handle 5kg of washing although that means that the drying capacity will be around 3kg or 4kg. With washer dryers, the total load capacity for washing and drying is different - so for you to get the best drying results, load size must be reduced. By giving clothes some space, warm air can move between them and dry them more effectively.
Washer dryers can be used in three ways, washing only, drying only and washing and drying as a whole cycle without a break in-between.
Every kitchen’s style and layout is different. You might like to show off your modern appliances by picking a bold, freestanding model. Or stick to a streamlined look and buy a neat built-in model. These have a flat front and space to attach door hinges so it can be completely hidden behind your cupboard door.
A fantastic example of one of our most popular built-in washer dryers is the Hoover HDB854D/1. It can take a dirty load of washing and have it ready to wear in 59 minutes. It also comes with a Stain Blaster option. Selectable all on cotton cycles, it tackles stubborn stains by maintaining wash temperatures throughout the programme and adjusting the spin speed of the drum during critical stages of the wash and rinse cycles. While the Sensitive Care option offers a deeper than normal water level during the wash cycle to provide gentler washing for especially delicate fabrics, while detergent is removed thoroughly with 5 extra rinses. Perfect for people with delicate skin, this option can be selected with all cotton and synthetic cycles.
