Belling BI90G

The Belling BI90G gas double oven certainly has its benefits. The two ovens are conventional, which means that they are just the thing for baking.

The heat in conventional ovens circulates via natural convection. This means that they are hotter at the top than the bottom, and so dishes that require slightly different temperatures can be cooked on different levels. This double oven has five different shelf positions, and so you can customise the heat that every one of your delicious dishes is cooked with.

The main oven has a fully programmable timer which allows you to pre-set when you want the appliance to turn off. This means that you can decide when your oven should stop cooking your dish. If you’re going to be out of the house you can return home to a perfectly cooked meal - no more overdone dishes for you.

The top cooking cavity is also home to the electric grill, which is an easier option to cook with compared to a gas grill. Both the top cavity and the bottom cavity have an easy clean enamel interior, to make it a little bit easier for you to keep your oven sparkly clean.

The design of this built-in double oven is simple, yet effective. The controls are easy to use, and yet the stainless steel edging looks very effective when this appliance is integrated with your kitchen unit. This appliance would look great with either a black or silver integrated hob.

Please Note: This is a built in double oven so requires to be installed in a tall eye-level unit.

"I purchased a Belling B190G cooker recently and I am very happy with this product. It is a lovely looking cooker with stainless steel edging and everyone admires it.

It does everything the manufacturer said it would. It cooks everything well, the cooking times are pretty accurate and it doesn't take long to heat up being fan assisted. It is easy to use even if you don't read the instructions.

The grill is electric which is better than gas and less messy. Most ovens do not have gas grills nowadays.

The only drawback is that it does not keep itself clean so I try to wipe the oven each time after usage when it has cooled down. However, the price was right especially for a double oven.

Thank you Belling, you made the first cookers and are still one of the best."

"I had this oven installed a week ago and the improvement over my old oven is night and day. The only thing I have a slight gripe about is the fact that, unlike my old oven, the main oven door does not open to a hoizontal position. I found this useful on the old oven for resting dishes on either when you are getting ready to put them in or taking them out."

"The timer is a waste of time,as it can not be heard above the noise of the fan. The light being on all the time is a pointless waste of energy. access to the grill is made harder as the door does not lay flat"

"Very pleased with this oven and so far had good cooking results. It has an attractive appearance and the controls are easy to use. A slight gripe is that the doors do not open out flat to enable a tray to rest on them. The slow cooking feature is useful and the timer allows the oven to shut off once cooking time has elapsed. It does not allow you to preset the beginning of the cook which would be more useful, and having looked around at other similar gas models they also seem not to have this feature."
