"Beko CDA543FS - Good Buy"

"I purchased the Beko as I had a small space in my kitchen, needed a narrow fridge freezer and his fit the bill, offering the best volume and excellent price.

Is it noisy? well it's not quiet, but then again it's not very noisy either. Let's be honest, I'm not going to be living in the kitchen so as long as it's doing the job I bought it for, and is reasonably quiet, I am more than happy - it doesn't intrude and to be honest I hardly notice it now.

Volume? well I have been pleasantly surprised. Both the fridge and freezer look very narrow, but what do you expect - it's a narrow FF! However, with some thought and care you can cram a whole lot of stuff in there. They were both enough for me and the family, but I can see that larger families would need more space, but as the wife points out, a smaller FF means more trips to the shops! be warned!

Build? well the outside is attractive and seems well finished. The inside is functional and thought out. The freezer has thick walls and a strong fan, while the fridge takes a bit of adjusting to get it to the right coolness setting. The plastics of both the fridge and freezer do seems a bit flimsy and only time will tell how long they will last for

Features - very basic! you get a dial in the fridge to regulate the temp and that's it. My old hotpoint had a digital control for both the fridge and freezer, allowing you to monitor each section separately - that was 8 years old, so I would have thought the technology was now cheap enough to implement in all FF with very little cost to the manufacturer - sadly not the case

Overall - you cannot argue with the value for money on this item. It's not a Maytag, but neither is it priced to be one. For what is does and what you pay for it, it is an absolute steal and highly recommended if you are pushed for space!"

"It's alright but....."

Cons: too small inside relative to external dimensions, no indicator lights

"I was disappointed with the interior capacity of this fridge freezer. My old model had the same external dimensions but was 15% wider internally - this means I get fewer beer cans per shelf so not good news. Despite that, it is a nice piece of equipment - good looking and well laid out. There are no indicator lights - nothing to say power is on, temperature is right or there is a problem. Beko tell me to put a thermometer inside and check it regularly - yeah, thanks for that."

"this fridge is bigger than expected, can fit food for family of 6 including beer and left overs.. love the ice draw and fast freeze draw... quiet, attractive and does what it says on the box! great fridge freezer!!!!!!!!"

"If you use your fridge-freezer for storing food rather than beer, and dislike purposeless lights and gimmicks, you will find little fault with this. Stylish, compact, functional. It does what it says on the packaging."

"Overall, Great!"

"I'm really pleased with the capacity of both Fridge and Freezer. I didn't expect to get quite as much as i have in either.

It holds it's temperature very well, although there is a fine line with the thermostat. 3 is not quite cold enough and 4 is almost freezing. It's taken a couple of attempts to get the balance just right. There seems to be quite a bit of water at the back of the fridge but i think this is something i'm causing by fluctuating the temperature.

Other than this, i think the product is Great. Pleasantly surprised!"
