Induction hobs are one of the big advances in kitchen technology and the Hotpoint CIO642DDB_BK is a great example of this.
Induction hobs work by creating a magnetic field between the hob element and the pan. This causes the pan to heat up, but amazingly the surface of the hob stays perfectly cool to the touch. You can even put something between the pan and the hob surface and it’ll be perfectly fine. It’s mind-boggling technology.
Not only is it a very cool kitchen gadget but it’s also hugely efficient. Very little energy is wasted at all saving you a fair few bob over time.
This particular Hotpoint model has 4 separate burner zones that come with 9 different power levels. If that amount of power isn’t enough for you there is also a booster function which cranks the power up to a maximum of 3000W! There’s also a fast heat function which does what it says on the tin, as you’d imagine.
The touch controls are very delicate and responsive and mean the clean lines of your new hob aren’t ruined by an unsightly set of dials. It makes clean the surface down a lot easier too. Don’t worry though, there’s a child lock feature so you won’t have to be on the look-out for little hands causing a disaster in your kitchen.
