Slightly more innovative than other hobs in this price range, the CRM641DC has a double ring heat zone which gives you loads of flexibility. You can choose to use just the centre of the hob for a small pan of soup. When you’re using a frying pan, or heating a big pot of stew you’re able to use the whole heat zone as it’s bigger and very powerful.
The heat zones are nicely spaced apart so you don’t need to worry about your pans bumping into each other, and you have a bit more space to shake the pan a bit to mix its contents about. Each heat zone has 12 power levels giving you a more precise heat for whatever it is you’re making.
You’ll find it extremely quick and easy to clean this hob. It’s super smooth with a ceramic glass surface so any spills are easily wiped away. You can even remove the dials to thoroughly clean around and underneath them keeping the hob in its best condition.
This hob is really powerful and will heat up quickly. It does take a bit longer to cool down though, however there are residual heat indicators which tell you when each heat zone is still hot. You’ll know when not to touch or place anything on the hob which is a great safety feature.
