Smeg CT15-2
Built to be fitted just below your oven, the Smeg CT15-2 will hold up to 20 dinner plates, or 6 peoples worth of dinner crockery at one time. The last thing you want is your pork chops going cold half-way through dinner. By preheating your plates, your dish stays warm all the way through the meal, so you won’t have to zap it in the microwave.
You’re getting a range of temperatures from 30°C – 75°C, which is a great temperature for keeping a portion of food warm too – very handy if someone is running late to the table. You can even use the lower heats to thaw out frozen food. It’s around three times quicker than leaving it on the work surface, plus it’s much better than standard microwave defrost functions, as you won’t get the awful half-cooked finish.
It’s excellent for cooking certain things too. You can prove dough and melt chocolate, as the heat is quite gentle, plus it’ll free up an extra zone on your hob if you’re cooking a few courses at once.
At the bottom of the drawer there’s an anti slip mat, which is really helpful when you pull the drawer out. It won’t all come crashing toward you, so you won’t risk chips or cracks in your crockery, which can sometimes happen on a sheer surface.
