With a total capacity of 99 litres, the Smeg DUSC36X double oven is ideal if you cook for a big family. At the top you’ve got the control panel and LED display. Through this you can access the programmable timer, which is really handy if you’ve got a busy lifestyle. You can set the oven to come on and off automatically at a time that’s suitable to you, so you can have your dinner ready by the time you get home from work.
At the top is the 36 litre oven. It’s conventional, so it’s great for cooking roast dinners. Put meat at the bottom to keep it tender and succulent and pop the potatoes at the top to make them nice and crispy. It also acts as a variable grill, so you can use half if you’re just making a bacon sandwich for yourself or all of it if you’re grilling chicken for the family.
Below this you’ve got the 63 litre main oven. It has loads of handy functions to help you cook almost anything, including fan cooking. This reduces cooking time by up to 10% and makes sure all the shelves are the same temperature. Great if you’re cooking a lot of the same thing like a couple of lasagnes for a dinner party. Then you’ve got the grill, which when combined with the fan which is ideal for cooking meat. The fan distributes the heat from the grill all around the cavity so you won’t have to turn your bacon or sausages while you’re cooking. It even has a defrost setting, which circulates cool air to thaw your food. It’s much quicker and a lot more hygienic than leaving it on the kitchen counter.
