"Excellet product let down by finish"
Pros: Easy to use, Quiet, plenty of storage
Cons: poor quality finish
"I was looking for an attractive fridge freezer with a large capacity fridge which included plenty of storage for bottles and cans etc., that also had a decent ferezer capacity to match. I liked the idea of the American style fridge freezers but didn't have the space.
This product matched the spec brilliantly! Although a little wider and deeper than most fridge freezers it provides plenty of space without being too tall like other similar products.
The fridge is great. It has a bottle rack which doesn't impede on any of the other shelf space. It also has a deep bottle drawer in the door which has a divider which also allows for a second row of smaller bottles behind. It has a huge salad drawer (on wheels!) as well as another drawer for meats etc. There are also a range of other different sized drawers in the door for jars, eggs, butter etc.
The freezer has three drawers of a decent depth. There are also racks in the door for pizzas which actually work although they are a novelty. There are also ice cubes racks in the top of each drawer BUT brute force needs to be employed to get any ice cubes out.
The one thing that really let this product down for me though was the finish on the doors. I went for the stainless steel finish over the white as I felt it was a lot more attractive.
HOWEVER, the acrylic coating that covers the steel on the doors is ABISMAL!!
It scratches really easily. Even wiping fingerprints off with a dishcloth causes very fine scatches. This is why I've marked the product down on its finish. I even had the engineer come out to replace the doors but the new ones were exactly the same.
The other thing is mine came with a protective film stuck to the sides that had puckered in transport. Although its not particularly attractive having it left on, I'm not sure what I'm going to be presented with underneath. And as the film seems to be within the seals of the product I'm not convinced its even going to come off.
I would recommend this product to a friend as it is good product for someone who needs a good capacity fridge- freezer. However, it would be with the proviso that it may not stay pretty for long."
