The Hotpoint HD7T is a flexible hood in that you’re able to adjustable its height upon installation; from 64.5cm to 97cm. It’s handy as you can adjust it depending on your ceiling height. With a maximum extraction rate of 462m³/hr this hood will easily apply itself to a medium sized kitchen.
You can choose between recirculation or external extraction depending on whether you have access to an outside wall. Recirculation takes the air in, cleans it and puts it back into your kitchen so is great if you live in a flat and can’t vent outside. External venting is when you vent the air outside completely removing odours from your kitchen.
This model has 3 speed settings. The highest speed is great for quickly removing large amounts of grease and steam when you’re making a stir fry. It only reaches 61dB which is the equivalent to a normal conversation, so you won’t be turning the TV up when the hood’s on.
Two halogen lights are situated under the hood. They’re much brighter and more efficient than standard lighting. You get a more effective light that doesn’t need to be replaced often. The metallic grease filters are much sturdier than plastic ones and they’re washable so you don’t have to mess about replacing them.
