"Very disappointing"

"This looks good and matches the cooker, but it's made of very poor quality materials. After a month's use the plastc slider switch broke off. The whole front of the hood had to be replaced , fortunately under guarantee. Six weeks later I heard a clatter while cooking and discovered the transparent lamp cover had fallen off . Closer inspection revealed that one of the plastic pegs that hold it in position had broken. A new one was replaced under guarantee. Hotpoint tried to sell me an expensive insurance to cover the appliance after the year's guarantee runs out but I'd prefer to replace it with something more reliable if it breaks again."

"Avoid this one"

Cons: Noisy, bad build quality

"The cooker hood is very flimsy and the speed control button broke off in the first week.

It is very noisy when operating on any speed and the light bulb keeps blowing due to vibration-even though we added extra rubber padding to the wall fixing.

We would definatly NOT buy this one again."

"extractor"

Pros: Value for money, Easy to use

Cons: poor quality

"As I was cleaning it off for the first time the button for the light broke off, we left that but then not too long after the button for the extractor broke too, we had to use a knife point to make it work. Have got a screw in each switch and it works fine now. It extracts but you get what you pay for"

"cooker hood"

Pros: Value for money, Easy to use, Good build quality, Quiet, looks good

"This was my second choice product but I far prefer it to the one that was originally delivered. It looks sleek and, although quite large, is not too obtrusive. Has coped quite well with very smokey grill pan (cooking steak) and is not too noisy. Sliding controls - very easy to use. Light is also good when cooking. Very good value for money."

"does what it says"

Pros: Value for money, Easy to use, looks good, simple to fit if you ignore the template heights

Cons: flex needs to be longer

"This seems to be an ideal product for the small /medium size kitchen that just needs an extractor without all the bells and whistles and is unable for technical reasons to have a chimney style unit fitted. Copes well with chinese cooking which is a bonus"
