It uses a reverse tumble action which regularly changes the direction of the drum throughout each cycle, to stop trousers and jeans getting all knotted and tangled. There is a cool phase at the end of each programme to relax the fabrics and protect them against crumpling as you pull them out of the dryer. Once each cycle has finished, this machine intermittently tumbles your laundry to keep it moving until you can get to it to take it out. This stops it from wrinkling at the bottom of the drum.
