The Indesit KD6G25SXIR gas cooker is a functional compact appliance that is simple to use, easy to clean and perfect for those who might live alone or couples who have limited space. It has 4 gas burners, which give you an instant control over your heat at a moment’s notice. There are also twin enamelled pan supports which are quite easy to clean after a long slog at the stove.

With a generous 57 litre oven capacity and 26 litre grill cavity, you’ll find its just right for daily cooking and can even provide you with the dishes you need should you host a small dinner party.

"Very good!"

"Very good cooker - shame the FSD system is a little tricky to use - you have to hold in the dial whilst pressing the igniter for a few seconds otherwise the gas cuts out - that said, I've never used an FSD cooker before so this could in fact be easier or trickier than most!!

The gas markings on the controls are also in a ridiculous location, all the oven settings are at the bottom of the dials - therefore unless you are 2feet tall you have to bend down underneath the controls to see what gas setting you are on!

Suprisingly easy to clean given the steel finish, I was expecting it to be a lot more succeptible to water marks and it looks good when shiney!

One MAJOR issue though, is the hob 'grills' if you like, these only have a four way cross for pans to sit on - I've always used cookers with an 8 way star - this means you have to be very careful in the placement of the pans - I can see one tipping over one day.

Only reason I have given 4/5 for build quality - the front panel has moved slightly - I wouldn't have noticed had the metal all been in the same finish, however, it has exposed a pale unpolished bit of metal. Also, the dials and handles feel very cheap and do not fit with the rest of the sturdy metal build!"

"The glass door on the main oven is difficult to remove and replace without help. The numbering around the control knobs wears off easily and quickly with only a gentle wipe down. The control knob for the small oven has become very difficult to turn off, therefore, I cannot use it in case is breaks completely which would mean no grill either. Pans do not balance securely on the hob."
