Plenty of room for your cooking. New World’s NW601G has a 51 litre capacity – suitable for a household of 3-4 people. It’s really easy to clean too. It has an enamel coated interior, so any spillages are easily wiped away. The NW601G is a gas conventional oven so heat rises to the top. Great for cooking different dishes at different temperatures at the same time. And it has a grill which is ideal for snacks like cheese on toast or bacon.

New World NW601G

The NW601G is quite large for a gas oven with a 51 litre capacity. With it being a conventional oven, heat rises to the top - great for cooking different dishes at the same time. And the NW601G is a built in model designed to be fitted at eye level – saving you bending down to check on your cooking.

The inside of the oven is coated in enamel which is really resistant to grease and dirt. This makes wiping away any spillages a doddle.

While the oven itself is gas, the grill is electric. So you’ll get really quick heat from it – ideal for rustling up a snack like cheese on toast or bacon. It’s also great for grilling steak and browning beef too.

For easy use the NW601G has an interior oven light. This saves you constantly opening the door and releasing heat when checking on your dish. It also has turn dial controls that make selecting your ideal setting really easy.

"Pros

Looks very smart and wipes over easily. Cooks evenly and is a reasonable size for a couple to use. Controls are simple and straightforward.

Cons

The cooling fan lasts for 8-9 minutes after cooking time turning the oven off, blasting cold air in to the kitchen. This happens even if you put the oven on for a few seconds and change your mind, so no cooling is required. this is a real waste of electricity.

The temperature settings are far higher than those required by recipe books therefore I have to adjust the regulo accordingly, so still a fair bit of guesswork.

The symbols for our grill are the wrong way round. Full heat is indicated by a small symbol and visa versa.

The racks do not slide easily and are far flimsier than those in our previous New World

Cooker."
