Samsung RSH5UBBP

The Samsung RSH5UBBP has the benefit of an ice and water dispenser which provides you with chilled, fresh water and instant cubed or crushed ice.

It is operated by an integrated LED display with blue text which looks stunning in any modern kitchen.

The appliance is cooled with the Twin Cooling Plus System which uses two individual evaporators to independently generate cooling air in the fridge and freezer. This means the humidity level is kept at 75% in the fridge, keeping your fruit and veg fresh and crisp, whilst the freezer stays frost free.

Total No Frost means your appliance never requires defrosting, freeing you from this painfully arduous task.

Tempered glass shelving means should you drop a shelf it won’t shatter, protecting you, your family and your pets from glass shards.

The fridge and freezer benefit from big box storage so you have the ideal space to store big cuts of meat – great for the Christmas turkey or barbecues in summer.

The usable capacity of each section singularly is 345 litres in the fridge and 179 litres in the freezer. This appliance is split 60/40 so it is ideal for the family who eats more fresh food than frozen.

"This is a great fridge freezer, lots and lots of space in the fridge section, but not a huge amount in the freezer section as I imagined.

You have to remember that the water/ice facility part takes up over 1/4 of the freezer compartment.

Overall it is a great freezer, and looks spectacular!"

"This was somewhat an emergency purchase as our existing American side by side fridge freezer had broken down. I am delighted with this appliance which was less than a quarter of the price of our old one and in many ways just as good if not better- it is certainly quieter- important if you have combined living/kitchen."

"Black Beauty"

"The old Maytag American Fride freezer we inherited with the house packed up after 15 years unfailing service. Couldn't afford another Maytag so went for this one. The rather grumpy (we have two flights of steps up to the house) delivery guys said, 'Big mistake geting a black one, love - shows all the finger marks'. Well, actually, its not a problem and although its not built to last 15 years it looks gorgeous and the kids are happy to have an ice dispensor available again. Love Samsung design!"

Cons: temp display and warning would be good, the wtaer ice dispenser does take room

"Despite some comments in other reviews I find this a quiet nachine much more so than our previous frost free thing. The ice dispenser is great and again contrary to another review the water dispenser does not drip nor splash. One improvement I would make is have the temp of both the freezer and fridge permanently diplayed, the rest of the display is on anyway. Do follow the installation instructions fully, and discard the water and ice initially, the first couple ice trays were black!"
