Bosch SKS400E02GB

Just because you have a smaller place, it doesn’t mean that you should be resigned to doing the washing up by hand all the time, does it? Well, Bosch thinks it shouldn’t and presents you with the SKS40E02GB table top dishwasher.

Designed to fit snugly and securely on the counter, it won’t take up too much space. It has the classic polar white finish we all know and love and comes with 6 place settings. Each setting consists of a dinner plate, bowl, cutlery and cup.

Select 4 different temperatures and programmes to suit your needs. These range from an intensive 70°C soak to really get stubborn stains a run for their money, to a brilliant 29 minute quick wash for lightly soiled dishes.

Don’t forget, it’s not only effective, it’s also efficient, as this appliance is rated A+ for energy usage. And you can totally depend on its build quality this dishwasher comes with a free 10 year anti-rust guarantee.

"I have had a couple of (cheap) table top dish washers before and they didn't last very long and sometimes didn't get the plates etc. clean. This new one is excellent. It has 50% more capacity and everything comes our beautifully clean. As a bonus it uses less water and less electricity."

"You get what you pay for with dishwashers, & this machine doesn't dissapoint. The build quality is very good, the steel is very good quality, it is quiet & on the quick wash fast & efficient.

In short it is a good quality machine which should last as well as the bigger Bosch machines. I compared this machine with several other compact machines but this was much better quality. It was also the only machine that would fit under my cupboards by about 10mm. I must also mention the delivery drivers, they unpacked & took away the packaging & lifted the machine into position for us."

"I am extremely pleased with this dishwasher. I use the "quick cycle" which washes at 45ºC and it cleans very well and only takes 30 minutes!!

Helpful tip: as it's effectively only half a dishwasher I cut the tablets in half:-)"

"Worth the money"

Pros: Good build quality, looks good

Cons: takes a long time to complete a cycle

"This may be more expensive than other models on the market, but so far it seems worth the extra. Everything comes out shiny and clean. It is larger than our previous model, but still fits in the available corner because there are no 'legs' underneath, just a flat bottom so it doesn't matter that it hangs over the worktop an inch or so.

After 2 weeks use we had one occasion where the door stuck closed - had to tug hard to open it. But I'm not worried as customer support were very good and I'm sure will fix it within the guarantee if this reoccurs.

The only downside is that it takes 2 hours 20 minutes to run a standard cycle! However there is a half hour quick wash if you are in a hurry and have run out of mugs."
