"Induction hobs are cool"

"This is our second Neff induction hob as the first one (bought 3 years ago) became unreliable and we discovered that getting it fixed would probably cost an amount that made buying a new one (with a new guarantee) more attractive. The old one did still work but it would cut out for no reason and seemed to have an overactive safety mechanism.

The new hob operates in a similar fashion although it uses a magnetic (and therefore easily removable for cleaning) dial to adjust the heat levels. This means that big changes in heat levels can be made more quickly than repeatedly pushing the virtual button on the flat display (in the case of the previous model).

We have also taken out an extended warranty in case this hob also develops problems after the guarantee period has expired.

So: why buy another hob from the same manufacturer when the first didn't last nearly as long as it should have?

We like the styling of it and its design; our other Neff appliances have been reliable; the hob is very responsive and easy to clean; it uses less energy than other types of hob and it's cool (in both senses) technology."

"A very good purchase"

"This was purchased to replace a halogen ceramic hob.

I have been using the unit for a couple of weeks and have so far been very impressed with the unit. It brings pans to the boil very quickly and control of the heat is extremely precise and quick.

Cleaning after use is a simple task as spillages do not burn on as they do with a halogen ceramic hob .

I was initially a bit dubious about the point and twist control as I felt it somewhat spoiled the look of the hob but have since found it far superior to the touch control of my previous hob, changes in temperature can be made quickly without the need to stab repeatedly on the hob surface."

"Happy with Purchase"

"We were already sold on the benefits of induction hobs and were replacing a previous hob that had broken when a glass bottle was dropped onto the edge of the hob. We chose this Neff model as it has the stainless steel surround in the hope that it will make the hob more robust - the previous one seemed to break very easily. The insurance company advised that they get 3 or 4 similar claims every day."
