Zanussi TC180W

Designed by Zanussi specifically for the smaller household, the TC180W condenser tumble dryer has convenience written all over it. It’s available in a fresh white finish and has got a very unique design. One of the most outstanding benefits here is that you can attach it to the wall.

Its compact frame enables you to organise your house around you, and not around your appliances. And as a condenser model, you don’t have to consider venting to an external source. The moisture is collected in a container for easy disposal. Plus, an indicator will show when it’s full.

The TC180W can dry up to 3.4kg of laundry, which is around 10 shirts worth of clothing. This is perfect for people who live alone, or maybe a couple do a few washes a week.

The control is a mechanical dial, so just quickly select the length of time you need and away you go. You can choose up to 120 minutes so there’s plenty of flexibility for your garments here.

"Good Appliance"

"Needed smaller dryer due to space. Do use at floor level but could install on wall. Only annoyance is that more cost for less machine but that said this really does the job. We had another of the same for around 7 years and decided to go for the same as we were already happy with it and knew what to expect. Newer model is definately quiter and now has the water level indicator."

"Good machine which fits our small kitchen but wish the controls were higher on the machine. Have to bend very low to reach them. Not everyone want to hang the machine on a wall."

"Fits into corners"

"This little dryer will fit under a sink or hang on a wall without getting in the way. Mounting brackets are supplied.

Controls are simple - just a timer and a choice of high (cotton) or lower (polyester) temperatures. Once you get used to your typical loads and the dryer's performance all is well, but it takes a few mistakes to be able to get the right dryness every time. A humidity sensor would be a nice additional feature. The room needs good ventilation as, despite the condenser, you can get a bit of a fug up without it.

Routine emptying of condensed water and cleaning the lint filter is easy; however, every so often you have to clean the entire condenser assembly which is mounted inside the door. This is rather delicate and easy to damage the soft aluminium, also the drain plug is small, brittle and tends to get lost. Rather more of a hassle than ideal, really.

Overall, it does what it sets out to do. A bit pricey given the size, but then the content is similar to a full-size machine and few corners have been cut either in design or assembly. If you are tight for space, this is OK."

"This is a good dryer for its size. We wanted as small as possible. Its basic but good. Only downside is it takes a long time to dry things and you really need to dry a whole load of washing in 2 go's. Its great for us as we only use a dryer occasionally, it would be no good if you wanted to use it all the time"

"Money well Spent"

"I am very happy with my purchase of Zanussi TC180W Free Standing 3.4 Kg Tumble Dryer. It took me a while to find the one I was looking for as I have only got limited space in my flat and had no access to window for vent so needed to find the right one. This one is perfect, fits nice and snug in a corner, low noise levels, I have already recommended it to friends. The online demo was very helpful as I could see in use before my purchase, excellent & friendly delivery service also. It is a bit pricy but certainly worth the money."
