Tumble Dryers

Different to what they once were we have hundreds to choose from

Tumble Dryers are not what they were. Your choice used to be limited to only a couple of power hungry machines. Now we have nearly a hundred models to choose from in all sorts of colours. They are packed with lots of useful features, some of which can work out how to dry your clothes are so that you are not wasting time on clothes that are already dry. Easy iron and anti crease programmes are now available to make the ironing a breeze while some models have an iron aid function so you don’t have to iron at all. Tumble dryers by their very nature use more power than most appliances but there are now a few A rated models and lots of B rated rather than the old days of D,E and even F rated.

The navigation on the left of the screen should enable you to filter quickly and easily through these features or use, if you’re feeling a little overwhelmed,consult/read our tumble dryer buying guide for a bit more information. We’d love to help you personally from our UK call centre so just give us a call on 0800 032 3249.

Condenser Tumble Dryers

These fit under a worktop and you can see them – the condenser means that you don’t have to vent it outside. The machine collects the water in a reservoir that you have to empty periodically.

Spin Dryers

These don’t actually dry your clothes – they just spin them much faster than a washer would so that drying is much quicker – good for the environment and cheaper too by reducing tumble drying time by about 30 minutes.

Vented Tumble Dryers

Careful – some of these are free standing and some are integrated (need a furniture door) - the vented terminology means that you need a hole in the wall to outside to connect the flexi hose to it. Some people do open a window and put the flexi hose through that.
